AMISTAD

Amistad derived from the Spanish word for friendship. Located northwest of Del Rio in Val Verde County. Is about 65,000 acres with a depth of 217 feet. The dam is more than 6 miles long and lies mostly in Mexico. Beautiful lake but a bit windy for a picnic today.
