Hemphill, Texas

Named for John Hemphill. Lawyer, Judge, Politician. Hemphill, Texas is the county seat of Sabine County. It had much activity following the 2003 disaster of space shuttle Columbia. The entire crew perished on reentry. A museum in Hemphill memorializes Columbia's crew. Kudos to the many women and men who helped reclaim the land by picking up the debris field.
